full moon reflection

what i wrote two weeks ago has stuck with me as i’ve been trying to create a symbol for my moon intentions each month. i toyed around with different ideas for what i could make but landed on the idea of the moon’s phases. today i accomplished my idea & embroidered the moon’s phases into a favorite piece of fabric! having never embroidered anything before, i wasn’t sure what to expect, but i like how it turned out. it felt so good to finish a project i set out to do.

this piece of art represents the continual transformation we have the opportunity to participate with each month. that’s the beauty of the moon cycle to me. it is a monthly resolution to be the best version of me that i can. i think there is so much power in goal and intention setting.

the visual of the moon phases is a reminder to hold myself accountable to the new moon intentions i set for myself monthly. now, we are at the full moon, two weeks after the lunar cycle began anew, our intentions should be realized and in practice. the rest of the month is for fully incorporating these intentions into our lives. we may not always achieve exactly what we set out to do, but what harm is there in trying?
