sunday’s recipe: my go-to salad dressing!

our first garden harvest happened this evening! i trimmed mustard greens, butter crunch, romaine and red-leaf lettuce for a salad that i brought to my parents house for dinner. it was so exciting! mmm, nothing compares to garden fresh vegetables. i can officially cross off ‘greens’ from my grocery list for the next 4 months~ woo!!

when using fresh salad, i like to keep my dressing a little lighter, especially as it gets warmer outside. tonight’s recipe is a basic oil & vinegar recipe that is my go-to for summery salads!

sunday’s recipe
summery salad dressing

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1-3 teaspoons honey
salt & pepper to taste
*optional lemon squeeze at the end

shake everything up in a mason jar & wa- la your dressing is ready!

i kept my salad simple tonight, partially because i was running late, but also because i like to let these greens shine! mustard greens are especially flavorful and add so much to salad mixes. i just grated up some carrots and threw our dehydrated cherries on top! mm, enjoy!
